Santana está de volta!

Pra felicidade de todos, após 11 anos a Paróquia de Santana está de volta inteira e altiva como sempre foi e como alguém falou: "Uma Fênix que retornou das cinzas" dado o estado que se encontrava.
Pra mim em especial foi como uma bênção, pois como sempre disse, ela foi a minha primeira referência de um templo religioso, quando levado por minha saudosa mãe Abigail, eu tinha apenas quatro anos de idade, mas foi o suficiente pra ficar encantado e sempre pedir a ela pra me levar de novo.
Ainda guardo na memória o imponente altar, o teto com uma pintura que eu não entendia mas que exercia em mim um forte fascínio assim como a sacristia e seu mobiliário.
Ali aprendi a fazer o "pelo sinal da santa cruz" e os ritos de uma celebração. A imagem de uma pedinte que se postava no adro da igreja conhecida como, dona Paixão, ainda está muito clara na minha retina. Era uma senhora negra já bem curvada, olhar sofrido e cabelos crespos e lindamente prateados.

Mais tarde, já com nove anos, Santana continuou na minha vida, quando junto com os coleguinhas da Escola São Vicente de Paulo, frequentávamos aos sábados à tarde a Casa de Oração e Recreação que ficava ao lado, na mesma Rua do Carro, e tínhamos que participar do catecismo para poder termos o direito de assistirmos os filmes de cowboy, de Tarzan e outros que eram exibidos para a criançada. Era uma determinação do pároco, o conhecidíssimo Padre Ayres, que tinha essa atenção às crianças, aliás, ele apenas seguia as palavras de Cristo há mais de dois mil anos: "Deixai vir a mim as criancinhas", o que infelizmente não é seguida à risca pela maioria das igrejas onde a participação de crianças praticamente não existe.

Meu casamento:
Infelizmente, por falta de conciliação de datas não pude me casar na Paróquia de Santana e tivemos que realizá-lo na Catedral Basílica em 1972, o que também muito me honrou.
Por estas e outras razões é que a Paróquia de Santana sempre esteve, está e estará na minha vida.
Andava um pouco afastado das atividades religiosas, quando em 1992 fui resgatado pela Paróquia Nossa Senhora da Saúde e Glória no bairro da Saúde, através do saudoso Frei Edvaldo que nos convidou para fazermos o Encontro de Casais com Cristo, não apenas a mim como a mais de uma centena de casais ao longo dos 27 anos que esteve á frente, e o seu grande poder carismático me fez permanecer lá mesmo após a sua morte e de onde não pretendo me afastar nunca.

Há cinco anos, entristecido, fiz uma matéria aqui no blog lamentando a demora da reforma daquela que sempre chamei de minha igreja. Esta matéria gerou algumas dezenas de comentários de apoio, menos do pároco atual que pareceu ter entendido a minha homenagem como uma crítica, não entendi o porque mas não guardo ressentimentos. O interessante é que eu estou muito feliz com o retorno na nossa Paróquia de Santana.
