Nesta quarta-feira (24), o prefeito ACM Neto esteve no bairro e, às margens da lagoa, assinou a ordem de serviço para a construção do Dique do Arraial. O investimento é de mais de R$ 360 mil com previsão de quatro meses para a conclusão.

A reivindicação foi de Téo Senna, que vem acompanhando e apoiando a comunidade: “Este é um sonho se realizando. É uma luta de muitos anos que agora podemos ver acontecer. A Prefeitura de Salvador
está de parabéns por trabalhar em toda a cidade e com isso melhorar a vida das pessoas”, ressaltou. Em discurso, o prefeito ACM Neto falou dos trabalhos desenvolvidos pela prefeitura
no bairro e pontuou a atuação do vereador junto à comunidade: “Quero agradecer ao amigo, parceiro e principal voz do Arraial do Retiro na Câmara Municipal de Salvador, o vereador Téo Senna”, destacou.

Parque infantil, equipamentos para ginástica, conjunto para jogos, peças em madeira plástica, bancos, quiosque comercial e suporte para bicicletas fazem parte do projeto, que foi elaborado pela Fundação Mário Leal Ferreira. A lagoa será toda urbanizada com direito a nova iluminação e área pavimentada para a circulação de pedestres, bicicletas e carros. Esse não é o único motivo que moradores do Arraial do Retiro têm para comemorar. Na ocasião, foi entregue a obra de contenção da Rua Direta, além do anúncio da construção da nova Unidade de Saúde da Família (USF) na Rua Abaíra.
